Signed up for a Class

I'm really excited to start this new class I signed up for a few days ago. Its an Al Baseerah course on Al-Qawaaid Al-Arba' or the 4 principles of shirk. it was advertised as 'intensive' and is only $30 for a ten week course. You can choose from 3 sessions in the week (you only have to attend 1) and there are assignments and group projects to be completed as well. The course is taught by Shaykh ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abdur-Rahmaan Al-Ghudyaan and will be translated from Arabic to English. If you are interested check it out here: studyislaam.org

This past summer I took an intensive course with TROID that was great, mashallah. It had a bit of everything! Fiqh, Aqeedah, Tafsir and the sciences of Hadith. I learned a lot, and I look forward to doing it again this summer inshallah.

The best part is that I can never get enough of learning about Islam. Its an addiction I think, but a good one!

Alsalamou Alaikom,
That's really amazing! It's great to take so many classes about Islam, and learn so much! And as for the learning addiction...go for it! lol

That's great. I hope you learn a lot. I was checking up on it. I almost wish to take a course of that kind, but I can't even spare that many hours each week :(

salam sister,
i appreciate your inquisitive mind to learn about Islam. But make sure that the sources you are getting Islam from are upright and on the straight path. Previously, I have had some doubts with TROID and I personally would like to avoid them. But again, you are free to choose whatever you want but one day you will have to answer Allah about everything you did. If you are in the US, I would suggest you to look into Al-Maghrib or Al-Kauthar classes instead of TROID.

Thanks for you concern WBM, but I'm just fine. TROID is a great resource for those who wish to learn the straight path. Moosa Richardson was the instructor for the summer course and he was great, mashallah. I've taken classes at Al Maghrib, and they were good too, but not as good as that summer course with TROID. Perhaps you should keep an eye out and try it for yourself.. you may like it.
